BIGGEST READY-TO-WEAR FAIR IN ITS REGION

IF International Istanbul Fashion Fairs increases the amount of its visitors every year.

IF International Istanbul Fashion Fairs, with the aim of presenting the Turkish ready-to-wear to the world, making it a brand and making Istanbul stand the forefront , makes the world fashion meet in Istanbul.

The preparations for IF 12th International Istanbul Fashion Fair goes on. The activities for the concept of the fair that will be held between 28-30 August 2008 in Istanbul CNR Expo Fair Center with the joint forces of CNR EKSPO TRADE FAIRS, IF COUNCIL and ITKIB gained speed.The concept of the IF 12th International Istanbul Fashion Fair will be determined together with IF council, IF executive board and CNR Ekspo Trade Fairs.

The organization will bring the sector buyers together with the participants in Istanbul with the support of Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade. The fair to which the purchasing groups will come from foreign countries is going to host the new trade agreements with purchasers of international firms of the Turkish ready-to-wear industry.

The activities in the related authorities both in and out with the aim of presenting the fair continues. Advertisement and news works are carried out in important broadcasting agencies and sector associations and federations are contacted.

335 PARTICIPANTS

In the IF 11th International Istanbul Fashion Fair held in February 2008, totally 335 firms participated from in and out. The fair is visited by 26.538 people in total, 4126 of which is foreigners.In the organization realized in an area of 50 .000 m2, 3500m2 was used for trend and fashion show area.

INTENSE INTEREST FROM RUSSIAN IMPORTERS

The authorities of Russian import firms visited the IF 11th International Istanbul Fashion Fair with the support of Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade and Russian Commercial Attache. With the purchasing group of DTM, the purchasers of lots of countries including not only the Russian Federation but also Canada, Albania, Germany, White Russia, Bulgaria ,Morocco, Jordan, France, England, Israel, Republic of South Africa and Georgia.

ACTIVITIES AGAIN STAND SPOKEN A LOT

In the gala programme of the fair, there was the fashion show of 2007 ’’ Best Designer’’ awarded designer Ozlem Suer. Switzerland originated French designer Jean Luc Amsler who made his mark on Christian Dior men collection for years organized a fashion show on the second day of the fair. Thanks to this the women collection of Amsler met with fashion lovers in Turkey after the world podiums. Also, Ilker Cinarel who became popular with the fashion show he made in Londra in Alternative Fashion Week and who worked with Giorgio Armani after that brought designers from England to the fair.
